The UKs first all rock radio created in 1997 by the voice of rock, Tommy Vance, his trusty maker, Tony Wilson, and the strolling metal reference book, Malcolm Dome! Beginning at first as Rock Radio Network, the station changed to TotalRock in 2000 and quickly delighted in a short stretch as Bloodstock Radio in 2013.
TotalRock is a radio station based in London, England. The station first started in 1997 as Rock Radio Network (RRN), changing name to TotalRock in 2000. The station broadcast rock and metal music internationally across the internet. In October 2012 it was announced that the station would change name to Bloodstock Radio, this took place on 1 December 2012. The station returned to the name TotalRock in January 2014.
The station produced a series of shows for Sanctuary Music’s “Metal-Is” website and in early 2001 TotalRock launched free to air digital satellite service. Commercial pressures led to TotalRock losing its satellite license in 2002, however, the station was already streaming all shows worldwide through its website. This eventually became the station’s sole method of output, and it was voted the world’s best online metal station in the Online Metal Awards in 2002.
